supposedly a veilside ti was one of the loudest as well. with a test pipe almost any of the single sided exhausts will be too loud for any normal street car.
My J's with stock cat was horrible on a trip to Beaverun.....but sounded awesome at the track....
up the big hills on the highway I steered with knees and held my hands over my ears.

about 3 hours away...... going there this weekend to race my S2000 in Honda Challenge.... you going to be there?
I should (cough) be in the 1:04's if I can drive like a MAN..... and if the weather is just right.... a big rain before hand though usually washes all the rubber off the track and isn't good for setting track records.

I'll come out if it's not pouring. I live 15-20mins away, so it's not much of a drive for me.
If it's nice, look for a 04 suzuka s2k...if not, i'll be in my civic.
And yeah, with all the precipitation we're supposed to get in the next 3-4 days, i think the grip level will be a little low come this weekend.

invidia actually has a muffler, so it wont be as loud as the other ones we listed.
im telling you..open header if you want loud. leave the header on. i've heard stories about cold air rushing in on hot *** valves and messing them up.
u dont even have to spend money. if j's is 124 db..i'd expect open header to be ~140-150. i'd suggest you invest in ear plugs and ear muffs for the winter time. driving in that kind of condition is horrible for your eardrums.

If I want loud I usually play a CD recording of a 900 bhp monster Ford truck with 4 exhausts that I recorded awhile back. It's almost 150 decibals with my 1,200 watt amp and subwoofer. People think my car is an airplane when I play that recording. This is the best (and cheapest) way to get a loud exhaust sound.
