its not how much boost its how much horsepower i know b18b are good for 300 stock not sure about b16 but to be on the safe side i wouldnt go over 250 260
if you dont wanna repair your car all the time then run like 10psi depending on what size turbo maybe even 8 or 9....i was running 10psi on my b16 daily and had no problems with the block for like 4 months....then i went to 16 daily and cracked the pistons...and i was tuned at 16psi....but then again i knew it woulnt last that long ...compression is to high...just boost and if u blow it throw an ls block in

so 10 psi should be good. my turbo is a super 60 which isnt that big anyways.
thanks alot

yup 10lbs sounds good...been 10lbs for over 2 years..supercharged and turbo charged..and I have the super sixty as well. I make 250 to the wheels..and its been really dependable with my zdyne. I have no worries.
It's all in the tuning. A good tune will definitely increase your reliability. If the tune is good, high compression and boost can make for a potent combination.

Set up two different maps, one with low boost (5-7 psi), and one with high boost(10-12 psi) and run the low boost daily and the high boost on the "special" occasions. but it is all in the tuning, the b16 is actually a very strong motor, with a near perfect rod to stroke ratio the pistons will be the first to give out under high boost. has anyone read the last two issues of HCI, they did tests for all of this, if you havn't you need to it is very interesting.

i was thinking of doing that but then i thought about it and switching the chips back and forth will get alittle annoying. and after switching them for awhile i will end up just leaving the higher psi chip in there and make my engine more liable to mess up my piston.that is why i am going to just stay at one chip.
yeah that could get annoying but then again i gut my car every Saturday afternoon just for that night and then put it all back in on Sunday, now it doesn't take too long to do. i see you r up in SC, do you ever ride down here to Sav? is the scene up there any good?
just get your car tuned with uberdata or chrome and get a dual stage boost controller...have one at 6psi and flip the switch to like 12 when u need to (but to run more then 10.47 psi youll need a 3 bar map sensor)
