Default what model is good?

im going to get a 4g4d soon but i was wondering what was the best year and model ive heard that one model is lighter then the other and same with the years and some have the electric door seat belts so my question is what is the best model and year of a 4g4d

Are you talking about an 88-91 4-door civic? If you are, I don't think your that concerned about weight being that it can't possibly be any heavier stock.

yea i am talking about an 88-91 4 door and i know there heavvier then the crx or the hatch and no offence to any crx fans or hatch back fans but i hate the look of them so yea they are heavy but whats the lightest one of them

go with a 2 door coupe it looks better than the 4 door and isnt styled like the crx or hatch

the only 88-91 civic 2 door coupe is a crx and i dont want to get a 92 up

The best your going to get is a 1988 Civic DX, weighing in at 2038lbs. Compared to the same year CRX HF(lightest model) of 1819lbs. Even the Hatchback beats it at 1933lbs

thanks for the info

next question engine
im thinking of a dohc zc for my soon to be 88 dx 4g4d cuz i could get a complete swap for 875 and i could do it at my school so i have a free lift, free tools, and free help when i need it but is there any other engine that is a low cost high outcome thats a dohc?

Don't rely on too much free stuff. You may find yourself pissed off that no one is around when you actually need them. The cheapest DOHC you'll probably find will be the ZC.
