3rd gear grind above 5500 rpm. jdm itr tranny that has less then 500km's on it?
know its been researched and Ill probably hear the same things I already know BUT,
What do you guys think, I can sift into 3rd at a lower rpm with ease but as soon as the rpm get up there weather i shift fast or not, it will grind?
The tranny has about 500km's on it and its been in the car now for maybe 2.3-3 months. I dont drive the car much anymore as I have the b16b beater for that.
The fluid when it was first put in was honda tranny fluid. I havent changed it yet but I will.
I havent really at all taken the car hard since Ive gotten it back them 2-3 months ago but last night on my way home from a car show I just wanted to have fun and actually enjoy my whp and it just happened :S
What you guys think and thanks always Kenny!

sounds like some1 has been drivng your car while u were gone
hah jp.. more than likely your 3rd gear synchro is going bad, hondas infamous 3rd gear..
i have the exact same problem.. you should try switching your tranny fluid to GM synchromesh (friction modified) and dont drive hard that much until the fluid settles in (500 miles).. it should get rid of the grind if its not that bad.. i had a hella bad 3rd gear grind and the friciton modifier has been cutting the grind down more and more..

also an easier way to fill your tranny with fluid is through the speed sensor.. you only have to take one bolt off and fill it through a funnel.. its way easier than filling it through the fill hole
