Error code 17(Vehicle Speed Sensor)
I'm throwing error code 17 which is the VSS. Now I am just wondering were this sensor is. Can somebody please tell me where this dang sensor is. Thanks.
i have the same problem. ever since i did my swap my speedo hasnt worked. threw the same code, havnt worried about locating the sensor yet though im too busy crying over buyin a $300 sensor
Someone might have a photo to show, but I will give you a brief explanation. Take the intake piping for better access and look towards the back of the tranny to the left and under the throttle body (it's sits on top). A 10mm bolt holds it in. Are your speed sensors bad or not plugged in? If they are bad look at a wrecking yard, especially if it's a honda wrecking yard or find someone with a toasted tranny and buy it. If neither of you find one by tuesday PM I might have one at my buddies shop on an old tranny.

It's on the far right in this pic with the short black hose coming off of it--

How do you know the sensor is bad if you haven't checked. It could just be unplugged?

I am almost positive the only difference is sometimes the powersteering hoses. I dont believe the f22 tranny vss have it but i could be wrong.
