Default TurboXS Dual Stage BC problems

I have a creeping problem with this controller. When I first got my car running which was 2-3weeks ago, I had the controller fully closed and it boosted 7.6psi. then all of a sudden it started boosting 8, then 9, then 10psi. I thought I had a boost leak from the compressor houseing to the turboXS controller so I change the hose and made sure everything was secured. But same thing. Also this controller seems to cant hold steady boost. It Started bouncing from 9-10psi. Then finally when I turned the boost up to 11psi. It would stay at 11psi for a little then it would jump to 13psi. What the hell is wrong with this thing. Will getting a EBC work better?

Wastegate: Turbosmart

my turbo-smart dual stage MBC will usually spike up 2-3psi over that you set it to then settle down.

so if i want 8psi it will initially spike up to 10-11psi then settle down to 8psi.

i always thought that was normal since the MBC is fighting against whatever wastegate spring you have.

That's what mine does. I was thinking that would be a problem cause Im running a stock MAP sensor. Which is said to be good for 11-12psi. But AFRs still looked good until 13-14psi.
