My brother is looking at a 90-91 civic std. The guy says it starts and runs alright, but aftera while it will just shut off. Got any ideas?

 

Igniter/Ignition coil another words, 2 or 3 names for the same thing, lol..

 

well i just replaced the entire distributor on my friend's CRX, and it just cuts off while driving now. the coil and ignitor in the replacement distributor should be fine as it was remanufactured. so it might be something other than the dizzy...like that primary injector in the throttle body...etc.

 

how long is, after a while ?

 

maybe 4-6 blocks into the trip. no more than 1/2 mile. this has not been repeated because it sux pushing a CRX around South Florida.
