05 Civic questions
I've been given a 3 Grand budget to make a friends 05 auto EX civic faster after a rather disapointing night at the 1/8th mile track(11.8 @ 60.7)now for the questions.
Are there any turbo kits available from aftermarket companies such as greddy turbonetics etc.?
Should i piece together a kit as in buying a turbo, intercooler, wastegate, bov, gauges, oil lines, and have someone run custom piping?
Tunning programs for the new civis what is available, does hondata still work with these cars?
What has the bottom end of the 1.7 proven to withstand as far as boost levels and whp?
Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

you're better off turbocharging a CVCC civic than that thing...especially an auto. I think there are probably less than 500 01+(D17) civics that have been turbocharged. I know someone is making a kit though...either revhard or (gasp)inlinepro.
It's really not a good platform to work with but if you choose to go forward we will help....as long as you post pics

here is a complete used kit http://www.7thgencivic.com/for...22621$1800 +shipping and never mind the D17 haters as far as new you cant buy a complete kit form for only $3k but you can try http://www.dezod.com is the only person making a true complete kit for the D17. Hondata dont work on the D17, the only option currently is AEM EMS, and greddy E-manage. Currently there are a few D17's over 250 HP that has been advertised with dynos, but ive heard rummors of a few breaking 300hp. from what ive read 200-250hp is an easy number to hit and reliable with good tuning. Check out my sig for my install
