Default b16 engine noise

I have a first gen b16a out of a crx from japan...
the motor is mint since i put it in nothing wrong...
but im getting wut sounds like a clicking sound which looks like its coming from the injectors...so changed them with other ones i had same sound...
I adjusted all the lifters so the clearenes are perfect...
Me and my dad are mechanics so it was done properly people say hondas have noisey injectors Im just not buying it

If you adjusted the valves in spec, then it should be fairly quiet. I bet you're just used to non-honda engines

Does it do it randomly while it's idling?

If so, it's likely your Lost motion assemblies. They can be bought new from Honda, but are pretty damn expensive. If you do end up buying some, get H22A ones. I'm told that they're the same as Integra Type R and much cheaper than stock B16A ones.

its more than likely the injectors. take a long socket extension hold it up to your ear and put it on the injectors to isolate the noise, but i'm sure you mechanics already know this.

Its called valve timing I thought the same thing when my friend got his b16 but that is the way they sound so you are going to have to get use to it

lolz the timing is perfect, the valve lash is perfect... the injectors were changed and the noise isnt isolated its speratic if it was the injectors it would be constant noise...the lma sounds like just about the only reasonable explaination

try using obd1 injectors and do the simple wiring bypass of the resistor box and see if that makes the clicking go away. obd0 injectors are loud

i swaped the b16 injectors with the my d16a6 injectors off my si motor.. there exactly the same injectors.. same part #... and the noise was still there and the si motor didnt make any noise so its definitly not the injectors now the lma's does sound like thats my problem ill confirm when i take the head apart and check it out

Mine ticks and we still don't know the problem, change the injectors, valve adjustment, replaced lost motion assemblies, and just about everything:

refer to my thread at Honda-Acura.net about my problems

Listen to this man.

If it's a 1st gen b16 I'd almost garauntee it's your LMA. I have the SAME thing and I KNOW my LMA needs to be replaced. I will most likely use the H22A ones since the ITR couldn't be more expensive if they were 24 karat gold and diamond plated.

The 1st gen b16 Lost Motion Assembly is a different design then ALL other B-Series Lost Motion Assemblies and should be replaced as preventative maintainence ESPECIALLY if you put in bigger cams.
