Default Knock sensor cause car to not start?

Okay here's the deal.

I have a 95 GSR motor in a 92 Hatchback. I haven't wired up vtec or knock because I am going to get the ECU chipped anyways and haven't wired up vtec because I want to break the motor in so wiring up vtec is pointless for now anyways.

Anyways, will the knock sensor put the car in limp mode, or cause it not to start?

You will get a check engine light...just hook it up, even for the break in. Just don't rev the **** out of it or keep it at any certain RPM for great lengths of time.

Isn't it easier to get the ECU chipped than to not hook it up? Sure is.

Any other ideas? I got the motor from HMO so it should be good. I'm cranking it and it won't turn over. I figure it's been sittin for a while and just needs to be cranked for a while. I changed the oil and all that.

I guess...good luck with your problem, every motor that I have put in started on the first/second try...sounds like you have a problem...sure does...

I spoke to a few friends and they have all had the same problems and just crank it for a while.

I hope this is true.
