Default how much would you pay for a 2003 s2000? Dealership asking $25888

I went to my local dealership today and found a honda certified used 2003 Honda s2000 in perfect condition. The salesman told me the car was a trade in (1 owner, family man). The color is silverstone with 20,000 miles on the odometer. The car is located in the bay area if it makes a difference.

What do you guys think a reasonable offer would be? i tried $24,500 OTD but with no luck.

Thanks in advance!

well a couple of reasons.... i bought the car in feb of 2004.... they had two ap1 03's in stock and they needed to get rid of them to make room for the ap2 04's....

they first offered me 30k + tax + registration yada yada yada.....but i worked them down to 29k OTD...

well heres what happened:

called in the next day and offered $25k OTD with no luck. Both of the guys didn't even try to negotiate and they were extremely rude. They kept on insisting i pay $25888 + tax. Screw them!

1st saleman: Very nice and polite when he showed me the car, but completely turned into a @$%hole after i offered $24,500OTD.

one of the managers: Offered $25K OTD on the phone and he's tone of voice changed dramatically from calm to hostile. Hung up on me before i had the chance to say "thanks anyways"

When i left the first day i could hear the other sales people talking behind my back.

Very true. You should take your new S to the dealership that treated you poorly and show them how happy you are that you didn't waste your money with them.

And then do a nasty burnout by the front entrance just to say good-bye.
