Radius rod noise with z10 crossmember
I have a z10 crossmember on my crx and when i hit small bumps I hear and feel a clunking like a have bad ball joints. When I kick the wheel, it feels like the radius rods are moving. Do those heim joints ever go bad? I loosened it up and moved the knuckle forward and it made a difference having some tension on there. Anybody know what i can do?
I have H&R race springs, blues, new HF rack, somewhat new crossmember, ST sway bars, full poly kit.
Thanks

You should get some teflon lined ones there better for the street and also use rod end seals to seal out dirt and other things from getting into the joints and they should last alot longer.

Dont do that. The teflon will come off the surface and seize the bearing.
Dust seals are good, however.

Not sure of miles but I have built A couple sets of traction bars and have always used teflon, thats why I ask what brand you use because I use QA1 XM-XF series and the way there designed is that the liner is locked into the body of the rod end, If I can find batterys for my camera I will take pics and show you there design.
Here's the pic sorry but my camera sucks, but you can see how the liner comes out to the edge and the body is notched to hold it in place. It says on there site that it is designed not to pound out like other brands.
