hey i'm looking into getting some new/rebuilt cv shafts for my 92 lude.. more preventative maintenance than anything, they aren't clickin yet - but the boot's are about worn thru - yea i know i could just repair the boot - but for the hassle i'm thinking i'm just gonna replace the whole thing... anyways I came across these

on ebay... they seem ok, price seems about right - but my question is - can't the stock cv shafts actually handle more than 250 hp? i'm not making that kinda power now anyways - but i think it would be a lil stupid to trade in beefier driveshafts for shafts that are more subpar - given my future goals. any advice appreciated.

 

ive got oreily's shafts on mine 60 bucks a piece with core and lifetime warranty theyre made by constant velocity if that accounts for anything lol.

 

The stock driveshafts should be able to run over 300hp easily.

I you're not running slicks then you have nothing tpo worry about.
