Default Exedy Clutches?

Anyone use them? Thoughts? I know most of you run ACT units and love them. I have heard some good things about the Exedys however and for $259 shipped for a racing clutch I am not sure I can justify the extra $100 to jump down to an ACT street clutch.

I wouldnt think that a motor with bolt-ons would require anything more than a good street (or OEM) clutch.... the exedy integra clutches are pretty good, they grip well, good pedal feel.

I will just comment on what I know..

Bryan has gone threw 3 exedy clutches (drag racing)

Had an ACT street disk/HD pressure plate in the old motor, couldn't be happier..

Have stock now, with 30k, works fine..

Like Ryan said, for road racing, with a low mod honda-challenge car, all you need is a street disk, and maybe a little stronger pressure plate.. JMO though..

Hey now it was only 2, and one was the stock clutch.

I like Exedy.... haven't heard any complaints on the numerous ones I've installed...

Exedy Organic disk should be MORE than adequate for your mods. Price is also right, too. We are running this on the H1 car.

If you're anywhere near Southern California, Clutch Specialties in Fullerton makes clutches that they claim are identical to ACT clutches. They use ACT disks and their pressure plates carry the same warranty as ACT clutches and are built to the same spec.
