I washed my Integra at car wash place. ANyhow Im going to pop the trunk open and it wont opened.. All I can hear the electric motor went whirring. Do anyone have problem open the trunk on the Integra? Please help

 

make sure its not valet locked.....

what kind of teg do you have that is has an electric motor for the trunk release?

are you able to open it from outside with the key?

 

i have read about a lot of other people having the same problem with 98+ tegs. it seems the actuator on the hatch latch frequently goes bad. it happened on my teg, but i was still under warranty and got it fixed.

if you use your key and turn the key all the way to the right it should open. it may take a few tries. hope that works for you.

It is 97-01 Teg.. I use the key to unlock and it wont open...

you must mean the 98-01, cause the 94-97 had a cable release, not an actuator.
sorry, can't help you there...I've never owned a 98-01 teg

 

fold down the rear seats, climb in the trunk and get to work with a flashlight and screwdriver

 

yah its the actuator...mine went bad and i got it replaced...not this one went bad also

 

holy cow, i thought i was the only one that had to open my trunk while turning the key...i think it's better that way anyways because people can't open the hatch w/o the key.
