Default Streetfighter questions

Alright so the plastics on the ZX are pretty fuqed. I've liked streetfighters for a long time and now I have an excuse. So I've found some headlights on Cycle Gear like this one by Acerbis between $70-$90. http://cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?...00105
However, I've found some on Euro sites like Wild Hair Accesories for $300-$600 like these two.http://www.whaccessories.com/BS919B4Fairing.jpg

So what's the difference other than the WH ones have heavy duty bulbs??
Second question, will the resale value of the bike go down like crazy or will it go up/stay the same going as a custom motorcycle??
Third question, what kind of handlebars would I need and would I need risers and all that?? Thanks for all the help guys.

a true streetfighter would not ask such questions, would not launch such trivial inquiries into "resale value", and would definetely not fork over extra cash for something "euro". It is not The Way Of The Jedi.

$70 sounds expensive. remember, a streetfighter is punk rock in motorcycle form. something cheap. go to a junkyard, go get some foglights from AutoZone or whatever. a lot of bikes came stock with nice, relatively bright 7 or 8 inch plain round headlights, which look awesome mounted to the bottom triple.

as for the resale value, a bike is not an investment. as soon as it leaves the lot the value plummets, and with every stock part removed/replaced it falls.

For bars, use the clip-ons. they work, right?

I'm slightly in agreement with PGK on this. The point of streetfightering is to get it done as cheaply as you can. The WH unit is nice, but you're paying mostly for their development costs.

Sometimes, though, spending a little bit of money to save a lot of trouble is worth it. I bought a "streetfighter" headlight/bikini-fairing assembly off eBay. I haven't had a chance to mount it yet. (I sent you a link via IM).

A simple headlamp would be sufficient. You'd have to figure out a way to mount it to your forks.

In my eyes, a stock motorcycle carries the highest resale value. All additions/modifications only detract from that value. I'd want to be the one to make all the changes.

A bar would be nice, and there are ome companies that sell the bar and adapter. Usually it's more expensive than it's worth.
