Default Any cons with type r engine with less than 15,000 original miles?

Is it bad on some gaskets? I believe I read/heard that an engine that is not put to use often, can have an adverse effect on some engine components. Maybe I am a little confused. If so, would their be any problems with a type R engine? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

not an expert on this, but would have thought some components would rust.

If the engine has been stored and not used for most of its life, then id say its good to go.

but if it was all stop start, short distance then i know that aint too good for the motor, as the motor never has a chance to fully reach operating temp, which allows it to burn off any contaminants (i.e water).

Anyways thats what i have heard
