Default clutch engages wierd...

when i go into 1st gear from a stop, my clutch engages, but its like i left my e-brake up. then all of a sudden the car will jerk forward (feels like the brakes were let go) and start moving as normal. all other gears shift nice and smoothly once the car is moving. it's just the initial start that the car has trouble moving. so i've narrowed it down to a couple things. either my brakes are messed up and are grabbing excessively, although i do have plenty of brake pad left on all 4, or my lightweight flywheel, which was insatlled recently, is affecting the way my clutch grabs. what do you guys think? oh ya, i have plenty of tranny fluid and there are no bubbles in my clutch lines, and the clutch pedal has normal pressure.

it might be your flywheel, it takes a little bit to get used to.

took it to a shop, i had syncros replaced there a while ago, and work is under warranty. they said a bearing hadn't been broken in properly, and it was grinding. there was a snag that the engine would have to overpower before the tranny would start rotating. they're replacing it for free though!
