Intermittent Starting Trouble
Three separate times in the last couple of months, my 1994 Accord wouldn't start. It will crank, but not fire. After it sits for a few moments, while I dig around under the hood and check various fuses and electrical connections, it fires and dies. Once it fires and dies, then it starts right up and acts like nothing ever happened. What's the deal? It almost seems fuel-related, since it is time dependant. The car has 180,000 miles and was serviced by Honda until about 130,000. Since then, I have done all of the regular maintenance (i.e. oil, filter, plugs, air filter, PCV, clutch slave and master cylinder, thermostat, one of the temp switches, etc.)
if car starts and dies right away try holding the key slightly off the start position if car stays running u got a bad electrical part of ignition switch........
It hasn't done it since the weather has been rainy and cool. I pulled the relay and the circuit board looked murky and almost burnt... it had brown river-like stains all over it. Question is, what is the part number from Autozone? They have 5-6 different ones listed, and none of the numbers cross reference with the RZ-0088 of the stocker.
