Blown downpipe with pics (huge)
so I had a hairline crack a few inches from the turbo...I said let me wait a few days so I could get enough money to replace it.
Few days later, another crack...small.
To make a long story short, now I have two (2) HUGE cracks on the downpipe, a non working alternator, and no running prelude. I called the place were I got it from, send them pictures, still no responce. I got Ow3nd! :-(
Cracks are right under the wastegate and to the left of the alternator.
Sorry I don't know how to make them smaller.

Is that a DRAG turbo kit? I had the same problem I sent my downpipe back and got a replacement with no hassles. I had to use that header wrap on my downpipe and went to Lowe's and bought a sheet of aluminum and some flat aluminum bar and custom made a heat shield with the front of the heat shield cover with the Thermotec adhesive backed sheets. It has worked pretty well.. I haven't had to replace my alternator. I had previously changed it 2 times before. That header wrap works great maybe next time you could try that or send you downpipe and manifold to get a heat coating on it. Good Luck.

Thanks for the quick responce. Yeah it's a Drag kit. Can you post some pics so I can see what it looks like?? I *think* the hot exhaust gasses melted/killed my alternator cuz they shoot right to it.
