what do you people think
i had an idea...i was looking at the thermal cl cat back exhaust for my crx...and i was thinking if i cut the stock muffler so i can take out the insides and throw in a canister exhaust inside the stock one so you cant see it...but still have the sound of 1....and change the tip so its bigger....anyone know what i mean...what do you think of that idea...instead of paying 500
either buy piping from kteller and make it yourself...or get a muffler shop to make u a system...way cheaper than getting a premade system...just make sure u use a resonator...sounds way better with a resonator than without one...my .02

ud rather cheap out and save 30 bux to get a poor quality piece that is not gonna last very long...or spend a little extra money and get a quality piece that will last the life of ur exhaust system..
do whatever u want bro...im just trying to help you out...the 30 bux i was talking about only pertains to the cost of the resonator not the whole system....
i still stick by my original statement...go custom it is cheaper in the long run and u can choose exactly how u want ur exhaust to sound....

speedd -- i've got an ebay exhaust on my car (i didn't buy it, car came with it). It's not so bad, stainless front to back, and supposedly the guy only paid like 2 or 3 hundred bucks for it (headers alone usually cost that much). -- it's stainless steel... so it's not like it's going to rust off in 4 years.
--- then again i wouldn't be surprised if a weld busts loose on the header some day... but i bet it will be in the junkyard before then.
edit: just don't think it's going to pass emissions... the "cat" is just a straight tube... the O2 sensor is in the wrong place, etc...
