Default Removing resonator

New member to the forum and need a little help with removing the resonator guys.

I read the thread where someone had removed the whole resonator in one piece, I was thinking of sawing the black tube that comes out of it. I can’t see how to remove the resonator without taking off the front bumper and busting the 2 white plastic clips that hold the from bumper and front wings together (under the hood).

Maybe you vets out there know of a better way, I’ve got the induction kit already but the black tube is getting in the way of the induction pipe from the Pipercross. http://www.performanceairfilters.com/main.html

Thanks.

You don't have to remove the front bumper. Just remove the inner wheel fender (or so)....

I noticed that there were stud like clips holding the wheel arches on, I removed one and it seemed like it was lose and didn't quite fit right again making the wheel arch seem little loose I was thinking would I need some new stud clips?

Those clips are very easy to break. You have to pull the middle piece out first before you pull the whole clip. Just go to your local Honda dealer for new ones.....

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's way easier to pull the bumper off and do it that way. It's really easy and quick to yank the bumper and reinstall it.

Oh, yeah, the reason for pulling my resonator:

I would have pulled my bumper off too but some of the bolts holding it on I just can't figure out how to get to.

It can be done if you take out the wheel liner though.. it's difficult but I didn't break anything.
