Camber Kit Neccesary?
I have a set of Ractive Coilovers. I am looking to drop the car 2". First, if i did this do you think I would need a camber kit, or do you think it would work fine without problems without a camber kit. And second, Has anybody on the forumn done this without a camber kit, and if you have did you have any problems?
you don't NEED a camber kit for a 2 inch drop. Negative camber helps with traction in the turns, but hurts traction in a straight line since the tire doesn't lay flat on the road while the wheels are pointed straight. If you don't, you might notice some uneven tread wear, but as long as you get an alignment (fix the toe) after you drop the car, you won't run through tires much faster at all. Its all personal preference.
you'll get a lot of mixed reviews on whether or not to use them. i wouldn't run them unless you have bent suspension pieces that is causing your camber to be excessive. go get an alignment and if you're camber is between 1-2 degrees, you'll be fine (so long as your toe and caster are good too).
