Check positive battery cable for corrosion. It will corrode inside the insulation and then after sometime is just stops.

If the motor is cranking over then it has to be something electrical.

Check your coil in the dizzy and see if it's toasted. If not just go over all your sensors. Also check your ecu, you might have had a send back in power. Are you throwing any codes?

Your injectors probably aren't open, you're not getting enough spark. Check your grounds, those can cause weak spark. Your dizzy might be fried... stuff like that.

i have. I had never seen anything like that happen before it. I was driving to Chicago and when i would hit the brakes at idle the check engine light would come on and the radio would cut out. I was freaking out. I had just done some wire tucking too the previous night and actually finally installed my battery tie down so i had reason to worry. Got to school, parked the car. Turned it off and tried to restart it. Click. Pop the hood and the negative battery cable was laying next to the battery.

The terminals on both of my CRX's are to the point where you can't tighten them down anymore though. I was going to put new ones on (actually have them) but i'm going to relocate my battery so i'm dealing with it until then.

for future reference, in order for honda-tech members to help you, you have to give alot of information about what is wrong with your car.
Otherwise you'll always be the guy spending $100+ at a shop to fix something you could have fixed yourself in 5 minutes, if you had just been clear about what was wrong with what part.

Better luck next time. Shops, in my opinion, aren't that great and usually just rip people off. I know because we have 4 customers a week come to us with bad information that was given to them, by a shop.
