Pulling Battery Cable while car is running.
Will this cause a problem? Because now my car won't start. It will turn over but won't start. I smell gas.
Plugs, Cap, Rotor, Main Relay was all changed not too long ago.
Its getting gas, compression, but no spark.
Im guessing something is messed up in the ignition system.

No, it won't cause a problem, although if you disconnect the positive cable and leave the ground cable connected and drove around, it is possible that the power cable could hit a ground and arc. but lets say you started your car then disconnected both cables from the battery, wouldn't be a problem.

pulled the cap off the rotor and couldnt get the rotor off, then i notice there isnt a screw in it, so i pry it off then the screw falls on the ground, put that back on and try again. It starts if I give it gas while its trying to crank.

[B]well if you disconnect the two cables the car will run only with the alternator..that's what the alternator is for... there is no problem with that.. but if you disconnected and the car turn off ,then is the alternator.. need to replace it..
get another battery.. turn the car on.. if it goes on disconnect the positive cable, and if the car still on then is was your old battery.. if it goes off then is the alternator...
but also check all your fuses and relays on the hood relays comparment..
it could be the fuel pump relay also.cuz when the realy is bad it shuts off the fuel pump...[B]

My issue was the ICM in the distributor, took it out and went to autozone and they tested it and it proved to be bad. Swapped it out and running fine now.
