for illegals you can go to sylmar (friday/saturday nights) or ontario.. or even palm springs.. all saturday events. For wednesday and sunday action you can check out carson.

IMHO, street races are these days no fun.. bunch of stock civic, neons, and corollas running around with altezzas like a chickens with their heads cut off.. busting donuts and **** in the middle of the street pretending to be fast and risking lifes of innocent people standing around their cars trying to see some 'real' action..

if you are luck you will see one or two fast hatches picking on domestics and thats the nights highlight.. "if" you are lucky. Its a total waist of time.. unless you are going on a private event, a shop vs a shop.. been to one and had a hell of a time.

Come buy our shop we are located in Irvine, CA. We do dyno tuning and everything else you need. Dr. Charles would be happy to tune your car. If you have any questions please email me at robbie@area51fab.com. Thanks.

I haven't been to Sylmar in awhile but stay away from Ontario. Cops are everywhere and you gotta be looking to get caught if you venture out there! Not to mention ther's more riff-raff out there than racers!

what does the doctor charge for dyno tuning?
I saw a quote at $125 per hour, but this was for a guy who bought parts.

I was at Area 51 ( http://www.area51fab.com/ ) today, and this is the best shop in Orange County that I know when it comes to customer care and shop appearance. Those other shops, I need not say their names, are no comparison. Btw, there was a very tricked out Ford Focus showcar in the showroom. They usually have more cars, but those are away on the weekends.

Very true. Sux having to drive all the way down to Ontario or Sylmar. I've also heard about races in Stanton near Knott and Lampson, if anyone can verify that.

Don't go out to the Ontario street races.... Those cops don't play. Last time I went out there they made my friends & I sit in the cold for 2 hours in the middle of the night. I told them I was from out of town, on vacation, and got lost, yet they still didn't buy it, even with my driver's license as proof.

Most of the shops in SoCal are hole in the walls. Area51, ShineStreet, and Dynamic actually have a showroom w/ product

Street races are gay. No sense in driving from fast food joint, to gas station, to random industrial area all night. It`s more of a fad than anything. For every 50 cars out there, 1 might be decent.

Why not attend a track event on the way to LA or on the way home from LA. There is an event at Buttonwillow with TCRA on March 30-31 that many Honda-Tech members will be attending. Here is the info:
