looking for flawless 2.5 or 3 bar map sensors
well i was talking to a friend today about a 3 bar map sensor, and he told me that the problem with them is that they don't read low vacuum very well and they read only around 20 instead of 24. he told me i should instead use a 2.5 bar. i have a fully built z6 and its tuned at 10psi right now with uberdata. im planning to go about 20-22, but have no idea about these map sensors. it has to be able to use with uberata though. i was wondering are there any flawlessly working map sensors out there? something that works just like oem. if so any that would replace the stock map or would i have to relocate it.
I have used GM 3 bars without problems. Its all about the tuning :-)
I have also used motorolla 2.5 bar sensors without problems.

i just wired in a GM 3bar in my car it it ran just like stock. no problems at all. the 2.5 bar map sensor can only read up to 22psi on uberdata. if u r run n only 22 psi i think u should go with a 3bar so it gives u more room to work with
does motorola 2.5bar map sensor work with uberdata? a while ago i've read that they weren't compatible. is that true? anyone here has used it with uberdata with no problem?
3 bar map sensor was stock on some GM cars.... usally OEM parts are better then aftermarket parts - they have alot more R&D behind them.

so how does this map sensor install? do i just take out my oem one and screw in the new one? or if it doesn't fit, then what do i do with it?
u leave the stock sensor in the throttle body (or remove it and put a fitting on it to supply vacuum to the new map sensor.
u unplug the wires from the stock map sensor. then u take those three wires from the map sensor and put them on the new map sensor. power, sensor, ground wires. get a manusl so u know which wire is wich

gm 3 bars will work...in crome..in uber they area lil whacky...in crome it interpolates the vaccum readings below 20..but the lower you get in vac the bigger the error becomes...the problem in uber is it uses one 1 column to idle...that error causes havoc at idle....the motorla's have a lower vac capacity and therefor can get better results....but a 3bar will work if tuned properly
