quick questions on p28 ecu
i have a 98 prelude, and i was wondering for future reference, what has to b done to get a p28 in my car...just the wiring harness? someone please elaborate. and then with that, is there any real good chip to run, or should i just go with a hondata setup. with all of this done, what type of gains would i see with basic bolt ons, rather than a stock ecu??
if its obd-1, then you will need the conversion harness. after you have it plugged in, it will be trying to run your 2.2 liter engine like a little 1.6 liter engine. so tuning will have to be done to fix this. hondata is your best bet, cause then you can have it dyno tuned to your exact motor, rather than some pre-tuned piece of $hit chip. and if you go with this ecu, you will lose your secondary intake runner.
if money is an issue then dont use hondata. just get a p28 and get it chipped and use uberdata or chrome and then go get it tuned.
and you can always make your short runners open all the time since the p28 wont do it.

Thats where i got my chipped and h22 basemapped p28 ecu. You will need to get a OBDII to OBDI conversion harness. I got mine from Boomslang.
John (phearable) was also the one who tuned my motor. We were able to squeeze out 6whp and 7 ft lbs of torque even with my motor being shot. Tuning was done on Crome Professional.
