Default My car is a lemon. What is the problem!?

Got my car back this weekend only to have it breakdown while I was driving normally. Decided to let it hit VTEC in 2nd gear. When it did the car just strained and wouldn't pull. I shifted to third thinking that I was just dreaming and not paying attention. I tried it again from 1st and as soon as I gave it gas the car just bogged down and almost died. I limped it to my friends house. The car would not take any revs over 2.5k or so and you could only do this by easing on the gas. Checked the throttle and attemted from there with the same results. It is like the car is getting no fuel with the air or something. It will crank up but will not take any gas without bogging really bad. Full throttle will cause it too die almost instantly. Acura has it now but they are a bunch of retards. Any ideas?

Have never overrevved it. No mishifts...no nothing. Oil checked constantly and always changed at 3k. Valve adjustment about 2k miles ago. Always run 93 octane as well.

If you don't have faith in the Acura dealer you sent it to, then why bring it there? Find another dealer to service your car.
As far as people trying to figure out what the cars problem is all your going to get is guessing.

Did you get gas recently? If for some reason you would gotten water in the fuel this will cause the bogging down feeling and like it's not pulling properly.

What did you have your car in for the begin with?

Since your from my state what dealership are you taken it too and is it modifed in anyway? If it's the same problem as before you took it in for and if I'm not mistaken if it happens over 3 times and they can not fix it then you can state the lemon law of our state in get new car or something in the same line and price range.

Because if it's stock you shouldn't have any issues unless you've gotten some water down gas somewhere. Another question how does the car idle at stand still? Does it lope or tach jump 300-500 rpm while sitting still. Does it happen only around vtec? or through out the entire power band? Sorry to ask so many questions I just don't want you going to a dealership that might not know what there doing. I for one around here I will never trust as no matter what it is they will charge you for it or find someway to get money out of your pocket. Same with couple Honda dealerships around here as well.

So did anyone fuel up your car with anything besides where you normally go? Also if the car has setup because of our humidty it can cause moisture build up and can water down your gas and also cause this issue. Thats why if I leaving my car sit anywhere and it's not in control enviromnet I keep the tank close to full to keep from moisture build ups.

Yeah, supposedly, it has just boltons and its stripped. *supposedly* runs 14.03 also. And i dont care how many videos or anything else you show me ActiveAero, it is just not possible to run a 14.03 with your mods.

Thats true but that can't be the case since his car was bogging and died at full throttle.

Only a K&N air filter as of present. Have had no other mods beside that. Yes I ran a 14.03 with only free mods but thats beside the point.

Car had been running for over an hour when it happened. Only happens at low rpms because the car won't let me rev it any higher without dying.

Took it to Joe Bullard in Mobile. They said the CAT is clogged up, but would this cause it to bog all of a sudden like it did?

A clogged cat would cause a car to run like crap, but the better question is why did the cat clog so quickly?...hope you get back on the road. Maybe i'll see you around the area.

I ran the car with the Cat unhooked on the header side, but still attached to the rest of the exhaust. I had it like this for only a short time but I guess it was enough for it to get clogged. Didn't think that it would cause the car to suddenly bog.

That wouldnt clog the cat. SOmething like running very rich would, but i dont think running it in hooked would.

Try different gas station..

mine did the same thing a while back.. because of BAD gas.
But I got CEL... and the car shakes real bad.. no power at all and dying..
been almost 6 months...never happen again.

it ended up just being the distributer coil. it froze, and stopped sending electricity to the plug wires
