Ok so I soldered my red and black wires into the ground/ign power on the ECU.

Then I soldered the white wire into D14, the O2 pin .... my stock o2 sensor is still plugged in so I let the NB (grey) wire just hang .....

Is this going to work for datalogging with Uber ???

I keep reading about switching back and forth from the NB to the WB ... why would I need to do that ??? why can't I just run WB all the time ???

 

You can run wb all the time if you don't mind running in open loop. The ecu has to see an oem like narrowband signal to run in closed loop so it can adjust accordingly.

 

Is running in open loop a problem? Is there a reason I should run in closed loop?

You should make sure it's tuned properly to run open loop.
If you want to play safe go with narrowband output until you got it tuned (by yourself or somebody)

Make a switch between the D14 and wideband, and narrowband output (both from PLX, not your stock) so you can switch whether to use wideband or narrowband voltage scale from PLX.

If you are datalogging, use wideband, if driving normally, use narrowband (Again, use both output from plx. Just get rid of your stock O2 sensor. Disable o2 sensor heater in Uberdata.

Is it a good idea to switch back into NB even after its tuned? Or better to stay in WB then?
