was racing around the streets of pittsburgh today. Saw a black GSR, dropped w/ 17's, and Texas plates. I pulled up to a red light and meant to give a compliment, but all I heard were the wheels scretching as the light turned green.

Caught me a little off guard but I soon passed him/you in third gear. (The power of a V6)

Wanted to say waddup. Got Dyno Days coming up in Pitt in a couple of weeks. Hit me up if you want to join me along with a few Type-Rs and 'ludes in the area.

 

today i went to Robertos and got a pintos and salsa burrito with rice and cheese. Then i ate it. it was cool.

If it was me, and I read this post about how you "killed" my car in your V6, I wouldn't respond either.

 

Hmm... What times do you run in the 1/4...?? cuase my GSR beat several of your cars... when it was running...

 

Didn't really mean to make it a kill story...I just thought it was funny that I pulled up next to a 'teggy and wanted to give the guy a compliment, but instead he spun his tires and raced off like he thought I was trying to race him. And yes, in the end it became somewhat of a battle.

I believe Acura quotes the CL-S at high 14's

not trying to start anything...but it is possible for a gsr to beat a CL-S (these days anything is possible seems like)
1/4 mile stock for a CL-S is 14.8 right?
for gsr 15.2-15.6
and the CL is a little heavier that a GSR
so with just i/h/e on a gsr it is possible to get below 15 into the high 14s(14.8 to 14.9 with a gsr
so it is possible for a gsr with just these mods hold its own and possibly edge out a CL-S
add on a SC and its possible to do 13.9 + or -
and with turbo even better
u probably already know this but i just wanted to make a point

another thing...if u had said u had spotted a Type R people wouldn't have responded in the way that they did
most people in this forum seem like they worship the type R ( i know its rare and a sweet car..but its hyped entirely too much imo)

I may be wrong but thats one thing i've observed during my 2 yrs on the forum

 

CL-Ss are EASY to beat... Never had a problem.

They run constant 9.8-9.9s on 660 the strip... Too heavy to get off the line quickly.

weight of the CL= :thumbdown.

 

true...the CL is a little slow off the line...especially with the VSA kicking in. But that's the way with most Honda's.

I saw my black GSR 2001 today, oh and I also drove it today, weird uh.
