Dizzy Questions
Hello again i posted a few months back asking for information about my motor in my honda crx. Well i had my dizzy replaced and in turn it blew again 3 months later and need to find a new working one. The mechanic claims my motor isnt a 90 ls vtec and he cant find a dizzy that will work.
Here is what I know.
88crx with a Ls-vtec swap
ls tranny
skunk2 header and pipe
The type of dizzy i need is the question im asking. If anyone has a crx with the same motor or would happen to know how i can find out. *im pos its vtec* So that i can get this Dizzy issue out of the way
Thanks for the help.

first thing u need to do is figure out the type of motor in ur car....how can u not know if it is vtec or not? obviously uve driven the car...did vtec engage or not? if ur car is just an ls than u need a non vtec dizzy that matches ur obd system...if ur ls/v than u need a vtec dizzy that matches ur obd system...u say it is a 90 ls/v so u should be obd0...just by a 1g b16 dizzy...
easy way to tell if it is vtec or not without driving is to take off the alve cover and look at the cams and rocker arm assembly...if it has 3 lobes per cyclinder per side than it is vtec if it is two lobes than it is non vtec
