the reason i ask is because a while ago i got some aluminum rear lower control arms for my eg hatch. the ones they sent were for an ek. the only differance i could see was where the shock mounts to the control arm and the holes for the sway bar, the bushing was alot thinner for the ek because my shocks wouldn't fit so i just put some shims inbetween the shock and the control arm and it's worked out nicely. well now that i'm changing my setup, i'm wondering if i can just use the rear shocks from an ek so i don't have to use the shims anymore? also, will i run into spring issues since spring are usually sold aas a set of 4 for specified years

Do not use the EK rear lca's on your car. They are longer than eg/dc ones.

too late, they've been on for over a year now and no wierd tire ware, tracks perfectly straight, and no visable camber issues. before i put them on i compaired them to stock and there was no visable differance in the lenth, all bolt holes matched up only differance being the shock mount bushings on the new ca were thinner.
