Default considering painting my exhaust...has anyone done this?

i saw a post about someobody painting their exhaust on their rr black...it looked pretty clean. i was thinking about painting my stock exhaust on my f4i flat black to match the frame and wheels...i just want to paint the can. any suggestions? i imagine i'm going to have to sand down the can and prime it? i know they make exhaust/muffler paint...
has anyone done something like this? another concern is that it might look wack, but i i don't like the chrome-look pipe right now.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

sand it down with 320 grit or higher, so that the paint sticks, doesn't have to be a serious sanding job, just make sure you scratch the whole can up, then buy HIGH TEMPERATURE paint, otherwise the paint will flake off....simple as that

I don't want to offend you, but there are some people out there who can never be happy with what they have. You sound like one of them.

Yeap that is pretty much how i did it.
I didn't prime it though. Just get the highest temp you can find. The one i got was 1200 degree.

Maybe you need to stop searching for happiness in material possessions.

Actually my life is preatty good, I just have this tendancy to replace everything. I am always just seeking something differnt, something new. Im just looking for the perfect bike, and the perfect car, and the perfect living local...thats not too much to ask is it?

What cost 15,000?

Maybe you should have spent some of that on skills...

Sometimes i wonder why you post.....The only times you do post is to attempt to flame someone, You never chime in with anything intelligent or useful to say at all.

How about read and re-read the post several times, maybe you'll figure it out...

And if you were half a smart as you think you are, you would know that money can't buy skills bitch...

So you have Brembo monoblocks, Marchesini wheels, works forks, carbon bodywork, slipper clutch, rear sets, quickshifter, pipe, power commander and a fluffy toy then eh

You will never go fast on a 750, dont you know that already

To the original question, yes you can paint an exhaust and yes the paint will fall off in time. Then you do it again.

Heh, Luke you smart-***, not quite to that extent, I got the fluffy toy though. It was expensive enough.
