ITR wiring problem
i currently have a 98 ITR and have just got around to slapping a motor in it. the car was not running when i bought it. the problem is when i connect the battery i get no power to anything and the wire heat up almost instantly. it sounds to me like there is a short somewhere...what would your opinion be guys. and yes the battery cables are not switched
What motor is it? Where did the motor come from? What harness are you using? Check the wiring in the fuse box, the harness that leads into the cabin. Have you tried a diff battery yet?
i may have found the problem...dont laugh...i left a hammer in the engine bay and i think it was touching the power cable to the starter and grounding out on the tranny...i hope thats what it is.
