88 civic hatch..type-r motor..speed sensor
aight guys my friend has a 88 hatch with a type-r motor..his speedo doesn't work so that means his v-tec doesnt work right?? well what would we need to do tofix this..what part does my friend need... thanks guys

yea will the cable doesnt reach..soo thats why its not working.. so what woould he need for it to work??? and am i right when i say that if the speedo doesnt work the v-tec wont hit?

Yup I've ran into the same problem. Basically go find yourself a speedometer cable from 91-93 Integra (any model will work), just make sure his VSS is from a cable tranny. And Yes, Vtec will not engage if the speedometer cable is not hook up. Hope that help
