3" exhaust - laud as hell, need new muffler
It's a d16z6 with GReddy 15G kit
2" DP -> 2.5" to 3" highflow cat -> 14" long resonator -> 3" Magnaflow muffler = laud as hell... just got it from KTeller.com; impressive sound, but very laud .. can't take it like that; cant hear my own radio .. damn .. driving more than 15 min and headaches arive
So, I'm changing the muffler.
Which is the quietest 3" muffler that one could get, with OK flow ?
- Apexi WS2 Turbo muffler ? - http://www.apexi-usa.com/produ...D=177
- Flowmaster 50 HD muffler ? - http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/mufflers.html
- other ?

I have a 2.5" dp, 3" cat., 3" resonator and 3" WideOpen Magnaflow muffler and its really not that loud.</TD></TR></TABLE>
exactily. strip ur car and add in more road noise and a 255 lph fuel pump and u will hear this whimming noise that is annoying. you wont even care about your exhaust noise anymore because it will be a combination of 3.

hahaha... 255lph pump is loud as hell for real, especially when you are low on fuel!
I also think the Magnaflow is loud also, but only when slowing down. It's much more quiet during normal driving.

Haha, thats exactly right, or get a side dump wastegate and your left ear will go deaf pretty soon. Mines full 3" with a straight through muffler and it doesnt seem loud to me. Nothings louder than my side dump though, I cant resist flying by people who have thier windows down and scaring the **** out of em. Im an *******

I believe the WS2 muffler would be quieter, since it has more conventional baffeling than the flowmaster.
Last car I was in with open exhaust ending below the console wasn't that loud, normal driving was like driving with all the windows down.

Man, im running open dump, and open 3" DP on a sc34 and i can hear my ssqv and turbo loud and clear. When i'm just cruisin, light throttle its prolly no louder than my old greddy evo. When i get on it, it gets decently loud, but i've heard civics w/ n1's that are louder. Open DP is just a shitty kinda sound.
I'm looking to get a thermal, there semi loud, but its a deep, nice loud. ktellers not really worth it once u add everything up. All in all i'd get the ws2.
