Try some polish, replace the rusted *** nuts, scuff with some sandpaper and if you have access to a sandblaster take the parts off and blast them..

Sand paper, WD 40, Liquid wrench, few new nuts and bolts, wire brush, metal polish, simple green, and etc.

Theres no real point in cleaning the rusted nuts and bolts - they will look the same after a few months anyway. The only way around it, would be to replace them all with stainless steel fasteners of the same grade

Yeah, you're in Ontario. Nothing you can do about it. Just keep it clean, and don't worry about the rust.

if it really matters that much to u, u can replace it, but i also live in ontario and will most likely just rust up again, its prolly mostly only on the surface

I was going to reccomend a battery terminal cleaner (wire brush) and mabe painting them or putting some antiseize on them.
