no start when hot outside

Default no start when hot outside

I have a 1989 prelude si and can't get it started when hot outside .I changed dist/ignitor/coil/ and still no luck. I read about pgm-fi relay but is it only for gas or both gas and spark because I don't have any. starts great in cool weather. please need some help

yeah. sounds like the main relay. You can check it by letting the car air out and cool down for a while with the doors open and then trying it again. I had a 91 CRX with the same issue.

Just FYI, but you can replace the Prelude Main Relay w/ an Accord unit if it is easier to get ahold of. My BB2 is using a '94 Accord unit.

You can also resolder the solder points that have came undone on the relay.
That is if youre handy with a soldering gun
