Default should i use my resistor box with my obd0 b16 swap

i just put a obdo jdm b16 swap in my 91 civic si and notes that if i cut the wires that go to the resistor box that the motor will still run. someone told me to do that and that if i leave it like that i'll get more gas, is that true or should i just use the resistor box

If you cut the wires, the car won't run at all...

It isn't going to run. The OBD0(Peak and Hold) injectors require the resistor box. OBD1+(saturated) injectors do not use a resistor box.

the reason why i'm asking is because i tryed it and the car runs fine ,this is what i did.I unpluged the plug from the resistor box and cut the plug end of the harness and put them all together and the car runs fine. now i have a obd1 harness and on one of the end there is a plug that has a cap on it and what that does is make the injector get full power when the car is running , i tryed it and the car runs fine should i leave it like that or just use the resistor box. i'm asking because i think it will get more gas that and it will be better for the motor what u think

If you are using OBD0 injectors, you are destroying it right now. The resistance of the OBD0 injectors is too low and they draw too much current through the injector drivers in the ecu. You're not "getting more gas", you're ******* the ecu up. The injectors only flow fuel when they are open, and they are open whenever they are grounded, period. There is no "halfway open" or anything, it's on or off. It's not better for the motor. You must either use OBD0 injectors with a resistor box, or OBD1 injectors and bypass the resistor box.

If you don't understand the concepts of voltage, resistance and current, leave it to those who do, otherwise you risk really screwing something up.

will it be ok if i use the obd1 b16 injectors with out the resistor box and still my obd0 pr3 ecu and all the other part that are obd0. right now i'm running the obd1 b16 injector with the resistor box with my pr3 ecu should i just leave out the resistor box

If you are using the OBD1 injectors, you can bypass the resistor box. I'm not sure how the saturated injectors will react to a peak-hold signal from the ecu, but it will probably work fine.

you can use obd1 injectors with a obd0 ecu, it will work fine. but if your using obd1 injectors, get rid of that resistor box

i was told that if i do use the obd1 injector the car would run better is that true
