not a single day goes by that i don't redline my car. the S can take it, the car was tested for longevity. There are a few owners over 150k and running pretty much stock, proof is there for ya

With the gas prices they way they are lately...rarely...but my wife and i do beat on it every once in a while...did last weekend when her nephew came into town and wanted to "ride" in the car, heh, i think i scared him a little, he asked me to slow down, and when a 10 year old asks someone to slow down, i think thats fairly scared.

I dont redline it everyday actually - I naturally hit VTEC all the time, but I dont go to 9k everyday. I get paranoid still after bending a valve at 9k in my built GSR.

hahahahh... i think i redline at least once a day...but i agree...with the damn gas prices soaring i might have to keep it low

LOL, a friend of mine has a lowered EG hatch with lots of suspension pieces and I manage to get him scared enough to tell me to slow down on a daily basis on our way to lunch. He loves the handling and the speed of the S, I can push mine a lot further than he can push his. I rarely redline mine, I get above 6 quite often, but it's not usually necessary to take it all the way to 9. It stays in Vtec most of the time even without redlining it.

i agree on the gas prices tho.... i'm starting to settle down on the vtec/redlining.. and trying to keep my cool... cause gas prices are high ... i can't afford it .. rofl....i'm trying to get the most mileage out of my car that i can....

seriously...i just got the best mileage on my tank ever. 253.9. NO VTEC at all (though i did go through a spurt on tuesday night where i was driving it like i stole it..but that was only for 10 minutes), its really hard...but gas is insane.

I am from the UK where gas is at an all time high! However this doesnt deter me, I redline every day, probably 5 times a day at least. I also manage a wheel spin/mini drift out of a junction almost every week
No problems what so ever, apart from rattles, but I can live with that.

HAH! I got 262 going all the way down to the last bar (AP2 mind you). =P Freeway cruising at 70-75 and keeping it under 4k around town.
