Hello I have a OBDO wiring harness in my CRX and i just put a OBD1 singal cam vtech d16z6 in it, and it all worked i change distibuter and manifold and all the wires are good but there is a plug on the thormostat I dont know if i need that, it will not start, it wants to kick over, but i have not checked ecu for a code, but no check engine light is on. anyone that can help that would be great, I might have the timing wrong will that stop it from starting?

 

See if the ECU is flashing anything, Did you redo the wiring harness to work for the OBD1, Do you have the right ECU for it? Do you have the right pin setup?

Also it's vtec not vtech

 

I just used the OBDO wiring harness just added a cencur on the block from the si and no im using a SI ecu and used SI intake and exhaust and disturibter, only my wiring haress didnt have a plug for the d16z6 thormostat plug but i dont think that would cause it not to start.

 

thats the fan you speak of... you relocate the old fan switch from the civic/crx, and put on the new plug

 

its on the back of the block, everything is hooked up
