Default remove driver side axle to pull tranny?

i finally won the battle with my pass. side axle nut, then i was looking through my manual and it says to remove BOTH axles to remove the transmission. ****. is this a must? it looks like it might not be to hard to pull the tranny off intermidiate shaft, is this just stupid/too hard? i think its already popped out a little (the intermidiate shaft) because some assclown barley bolted my transmission in

o ya its a 90 accord dx 5spd

With the trans loose and supported by a jack you should be able to pry the shaft away. I removed my 92 EX trans without removing either axle nut . I think there was enough play with just the ball joint and tie rod end broken loose.

it is soo much easier to remove tranny with axles out of the way ..and not too say it will be a lot harder to line up tranny to go into axle when time to reinstall make sure u got extra axle seals.........
my advice for what is worth, remove both axles out of the way you wil have a much easier time
