Do you have any pics? I was gonna buy but now I'm a little worried that it's not going to look all that great because it isn't polished steel, like the SS DC JDM 4-1 for instance.

I'd prefer the JDM because of the quality, and because it allows an upper heat shield.

But my /stock/ heat shield is all rusted and nasty. But, that heat shield will fit right over the DC JDM 4-1 header??

 

you will have to buy the heat shiel with the 4-1 and its like a flat black looks nice ,oem and stock!

 

yeah, the stock heatshield will NOT fit over the JDM header, and therefore JDM heatshields are required.

So the heat shield actually mounts to the header, then? Excuse my ignorance.. I've never installed one and I've never looked closely.

Could the heat shield be welded on, or fabricated onto the header easily? I've got friends with knowhow and tools who can do this for me..

 

I've seen older headers and they tend to get a rust color. Try getting the top heat shield and get the sleeper look.

 

Stock heatshield -- wont work on DC header or jdm itr header.

JDM ITR heatshield -- works on jdm itr only (duh).

Buy a JDM ITR 4-1 and the according heatshield. problem solved.
