Default h23a1 firing order

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but nobody post's anything on this motor, everybody post's about the h22.

I know that the cylinder number's right to left 1,2,3,4.

Now, how does it hook up on the distributor. I need to know asap if anybody does, I dont have a chiltons manual to look this up.

i want to say 1342 but dont quote me on that.
i believe looking at the dizzy the upper right is one the lower right is 3 then lower left is 4 then upper left is 2. I could be completely wrong because i dont have a manual on me.

IIRC, all inline four motors are 1-3-4-2.

To tell for sure which one it is, set the #1 cylinder to TDC. Remove the dizzy's cap and look at which electrode the rotor will be pointing at. This is the #1 plug for the spark plug wires. The rest is easy.

The firing order is 1-3-4-2 for sure.

If you string out these numbers like so: 1-3-4-2-1-3-4-2-1-3-4-2

You can see a perfectly balanced firing order where each pair fires from the centre outwards in sequence. 3..4 then 2..1.

osbro is correct too..but keep in mind that distributor cap diagram is correct if you look at the left side of the cap as if you're actually on the passenger side of the car....
