you need to have knowledge of how to weld, paint, prep, etc. to do this type of work.

The core support from the del sol has to be removed and replaced with the 99-00 civic core support, the hood needs to be installed, front bumper, headlights etc...

The hardest part of doing this conversion, and what keeps anyone who ever thought about it from actually doing it is the fact that you have to cut the rear of the del sol fender off, the front of the 99-00 civic fender off, and line them up and weld them.. then prep it all for paint....

I only know this because I saw a full story on one a long time ago.

I personally wouldn't do such a conversion because
of the cost and the overall uselessness of the front.

The del sol front looks HOT with a civic lip mounted to fit and painted to match.. or not..

Its up to you, but I would stick with stock

i don't know.. you would just have to find the best place somewhere near the top of the arch I would say would be best.. so that it doesn't mess up the alignment of the fender, but also keeps from blending two different body lines from farther back on the fender...

A trained bodyman would be able to do it just fine.. especially if you can find someone who has worked on OLD hotrods.. they are professional when it comes to lining up parts and welding things.. Mostly because alot of those cars have huge sections that have to be worked, and the best way is to cut and weld in new sections.. (this is what I read from a book at barnes and noble, if it isn't completely accurate, don't blame me.. but it does seem to be...)

Does anyone have any photos of a completed conversion? I've never seen it before, I can only imagine it, and my imagination is quite limited at this point

never mind, found some on another thread - the conversion looks hot!

when i did my 98 integra front on 95 civic 2dr i had to do the same with the fenders, cut the fender in the middle of the arch the skinniest part i left a little excess on the front half of fender so it would tuck behind the stock fender and have a little better support
