Default are all b-series axles interchngeable?

i have a 98 civic with b18b in it. my axle boot is cracked and would like to replace. i found civic si b16 axles lot cheaper than the integra b18's. i dont have abs so that wont be an issue.

i know there is a difference between the size of the end that goes into the hub for the v tec and non vtec (DC4 vs DC2) cars. now for a civic i would check the hybrid or civic forum just to make sure.
