can i use a LS headgasket with a B20 block
That all depends on what you are doing with the motor. If the motor is just going back together stock with no head work, then yes, as the combustion chambers in the head are only 81mm.
If you are doing some performance work, and the combustion chambers are opened up to 84mm, then you must use an 84mm gasket (B20).

That makes sense to a degree but if the B20 is 84mm bore why whould you use an 81mm headgasket?
Wouldn't the pistons hit the gasket?
The B20 head is the same as the B18b head, 81mm combustion chamber and it uses the B20 headgasket.......
So I'd suggest using the B20 HG since Honda does.
