Should be able to by appearance and by code. The GS-R manifold has thicker runners and is more squared-off, and I believe the inlet side is lower than a Type R. I'm reaching way back into the cobwebs for that, hopefully someone will be along soon with a more descriptive response.

Search for bay shots of ITR's and then you can tell the difference. Mainly you can see the runners that merge into the manifold. You can easily tell the difference if you have a pic to go by. Splat the inlet side is lower on the ITR vs. GS-R. I've owned both and there is definitely a difference.

Grand, I shall have a look.

Any way of telling from the engine code, Im pretty sure what I have is a JDM ITR engine (B18C is the code on the block) but any other definitive way of telling ?

Sorry to be a hassle.

The front of the head will have PR3-(random number from 1 to 4) cast into it.
