Default I have stayed out of modding....but...

I used to have a 4th gen prelude but never got into a lot of modding.

NOW that I've just paid the civic (2001 EX) off... I have some extra funds to have some fun.

I want my car to still be a daily driver but have good pickup. I'll have about $11k but it'd be stupid to put that much into my civic. What are some small~medium mods that I can do to keep a clean look but have something fun to drive?

I've heard about and need info on:
-converting the headlights to HID
-converting rear brakes to disc
-improving handling
-maybe swapping for a k20? (dunno about it yet)

ALSO, I need a replacment front bumbper, anyone know where I can get one cheap?

I don't want a riced look and your input or additional info on what I've listed would help. Thanks.

i'd start off with suspension and tires. a drop is functional, yet it also makes your have an aggressive stance which can be a fashion statement.

with $11,000, you can do plenty to your car. for instance, with that money you can drive your car to go buy a used eg6, swap in a k20 and you're done!

jk

a k20a2 swap would be a great idea. or even a k20a. if i'm not mistaken a k20a2 swap will cost you almost $4,000.

you can find a2's all day for around 2-$2500. I got my a2 for $2100 with tranny. look around ull find one. everything installed wil probably come out to around the $4000 mark.

just boost the motor u got...u dont wanna spend 11k on ur car so spend about 2k on a turbo kit...and do all that fasion stuff... the total cost will come out to about 4k how much ur k20 swap would cost but u get suspension and about 50-100 hp over stock..

an ex can handle 10 psi max anything more than that requires better internals and a returnless fuel system

Until your engine blows in six months....

If you want more power, I say K20 is the way to go
